Love

1John 4: 7-12

"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us."

God is love.

God extended His love to us, FIRST.

God is the ONLY one who can teach us to love...

We are all born not knowing how to love or what it is really and truly like. Yet, there is something deep within us that craves it. We see glimpses of it, inviting us, saying "YES" to us. Love always hopes, trusts and believes. To believe God is always saying "NO" is to not know God at all. It is to not know love. We must understand that in order to love, we must look to God's example, His arms open, saying "COME", saying "YES". If we really BELIEVE this, we will open our arms to others, saying "yes" to them.

The more we look to God, the more we see those open arms, the more we understand how amazing His love is in comparison to our complete misunderstanding of it, our utter lack of it. But we crave it, none the less. We all look for love, but there is only one place to find it, only One who gives it, and by this, the only way to live it.
