It has been quite a while since I have updated. The last few months have been busy with the holidays and birthdays, my sister moved in (lots and lots of girl talk), and sadly, my Dad passed away on December 30th. I was never very close with my Dad, but still, his passing is something I have thought about often. He is the first of my immediate family to die. It really does make you think about what is important in life - loving God and loving others. I truly want to do this more. The time we have is so short!
Because, it's been a while, this post will update on both Annabelle and Joey's birthdays. Annabelle turned 3 in December! It seems that she has magically transformed into a little lady - no more a toddler. She loves her princess dresses, ballet dances, MY make-up, her TV shows, etc. There is a bit of a "tomboy" I should say, as she loves to be active and moving! We had her birthday party at X-Arena, our business, and it could not have been better! We are blessed to own a party arena, because we could invite all of our friends without having to worry about the space.

"Happy Birthday, to Me??" :)
"Pretty good, Mom!"
Now, onto Joe Joe! He had his first birthday this month. I can't believe it! How fast the time goes! He is crawling everywhere and starting to pull himself up with more ease. The other day he stood on his own for a few seconds. My little buddy has a gentle spirit. That is not to say he doesn't get moody! Ha! He for sure has his moments. But he loves to snuggle and cuddle. Annabelle was much more on the go by this age. I love this about him. I'm still nursing him, so in some ways, he still seems like a baby to me. I know this next year will bring about so many changes in him, but I am thankful for these moments, still. His birthday was fun, but not without a few ups and downs. We usually keep the first birthdays small. Well, it is a good thing, because we got hit with a blizzard the day of his party. Now, we have hardly had a lick of moisture out here for over a year! When we get snow, it's a couple of inches and gone within a day or two. Friday morning we were told 2-4 inches. No biggie. It seems that we never get what is predicted anyway. By Saturday night, we were warned 6-12 with 30 some MPH wind gusts. Well, Sunday morning it was coming down hard! For the most part, we cancelled his party. My next door neighbor came over with her 2 week old and 7 year old, and a few other friends made it. Poor Joey, was not in the mood for it either. He did not care for his cake, and he cried up a storm with his buddy, Mason! Oh well. We got some cute pictures anyway.
